Urothelial carcinoma (UC) of the renal pelvis has been rarely shown to metastasize to the skin. Tumor seeding from iatrogenic procedures is a source of spreading of UC to the skin. We herein present a case of primary UC of the renal pelvis with spreading to the skin from a percutaneous nephrostomy tract.

A 5 yr old castrated male miniature dachshund presented with clinical signs attributable to carcinoma involving the bladder neck and prostate. On day 84 following diagnosis, the dog developed bilateral ureteral obstruction and ureteral stenting was attempted. INTRODUCTION: This study evaluated whether Schwann cells (SCs) from different nerve sources transplanted into cold-preserved acellular nerve grafts (CP-ANGs) would improve functional regeneration compared with nerve isografts.

Seeds of the opium poppy plant are legally sold and widely consumed as food. Due to contamination during harvesting, the seeds can contain morphine and other opiate alkaloids. The objective of this study is to review the toxicology of poppy seed foods regarding influence on opiate drug tests. Computer-assisted literature review resulted in 95 identified references. Skeletal muscle metastases following cancer surgery are rare. Few cases of abdominal wall metastasis have been reported in the literature and attributed to tumor seeding after laparoscopic surgery or percutaneous nephrostomy. We report a case of abdominal tumor seeding after open nephroureterectomy managed by means of a surgical and medical approach.
