The authors report a case with idiopathic hypertrophic cranial pachymeningitis associated with intermediate uveitis. The patient complained of decreased vision in both eyes, especially the right. Ophthalmic examination revealed right optic disc pallor, bilateral vitritis, and cystoid macular edema. Magnetic resonance imaging revealed marked enhancement of a dural lesion. The macular edema responded well to medical treatment. Intermediate uveitis has not yet been reported in the context of idiopathic hypertrophic cranial pachymeningitis.

A 29-year-old woman who underwent laser in situ keratomileusis (LASIK) for myopic astigmatism in both eyes presented with severe pain, photophobia and decreased visual acuity in the left eye eight days after surgery. AIM: To describe the effect of additional treatment with anti-TNF-alpha therapy in a case series of 13 patients with serious sight threatening uveitis.
METHODS: 13 patients with serious sight threatening uveitis were included, of whom six had Behçet's disease, five had idiopathic posterior uveitis, one had sarcoidosis, and one birdshot retinochoroiditis.
