PURPOSE: Transabdominal sacrocolpopexy is a definitive treatment option for vaginal vault prolapse with durable success rates. However, it is associated with increased morbidity compared with vaginal repairs. We describe a minimally invasive technique of vaginal vault prolapse repair and present our experience with a minimum of 1 year followup.

We report a case of a pregnant woman with PNH. She was at 31 w.g. During the pregnancy our patient was hypertransfused and used anticoagulation treatment. The patient developed Preeclampsia, Intra-uterine growth retardation and Oligohydramnion. An induced vaginal delivery was done. A healthy child was delivered. There were no other postpartum complications. She was discharged from hospital in satisfactory condition.

CASE REPORT: A 53-year-old male-to-female transsexual presented 21 years after initial surgery with vaginal discharge that was found to be due to a moderately differentiated squamous cell carcinoma. A 36 years old lady initially being treated non-specifically for vulval pain, dysparunia and vaginal discharge, for several months was investigated in the gynaecology unit of Combined Military Hospital, Rawalpindi. Examination was possible only under anaesthesia and biopsy report confirmed Erosive lichen Planus. After dermatological consultation she responded well to steroids. We investigated Trichomonas vaginalis infection among 352 women with vaginal discharge, 46 were found to be infected, an infection rate of 13%. There were no significant differences in the isolation rate of T. vaginalis in women according to occupation, educational level, economic status, age, marital status, parity, menstrual status and contraception use. The difference in the isolation rates of T. vaginalis in women with a history of abortion (7.6%) and in women with no history of abortion (15.7%) was statistically significant.

In a case of acute Reiter's syndrome with severe vulvitis the diagnosis was based on the presence of a vaginal discharge and dysuria, arthritis, conjunctivitis, buccal ulceration, keratodermia blenorrhagica, and HLA B27 tissue-typing antigen. The vulval lesions were similar in appearance to those of circinate vulvitis. The acute histological change were confined to shallow ulceration with an inflammatory infiltration of the subjacent dermis. Coincidential lichen sclerosus et atrophicus was present, which could have been masked by the acute lesions.
