Primary liposarcoma of the colon is extremely rare in the literature. We present a case of a 51-year-old male patient with recurrent ascending colon liposarcoma, which caused obstructive ileus, just a few days prior to his scheduled elective operation and led us to expedite his surgery. The procedure was scheduled to be a robotic right colectomy. Colonic angiodysplasia (AD) with bleeding as a comorbidity in the aging population is being increasingly reported. However, to our knowledge, there is no report on colonic AD accompanied by a huge hematoma. Herein, we report a case of colonic AD with a huge submucosal hematoma. A 75-year-old man with sudden melena was referred to our hospital. Helical computed tomographic angiography (CTA) revealed bleeding from the sigmoid colon. Additionally, colonoscopy showed a huge submucosal hematoma with bleeding in the sigmoid colon. As endoscopic hemostasis was difficult, sigmoidectomy was performed.

Although linear mucosal tears have been reported, we found a relatively rare case of wavy mucosal tear in collagenous colitis. This may be related to the mutual weak adhesiveness between the epithelium and collagen band. This complication necessitates great care to be taken while performing colonoscopy in patients suspected of collagenous colitis.

Pancreatic cancer carries a poor prognosis and given insidious symptoms has often metastasized at the time of presentation. Common sites of metastasis involve liver, lungs, regional lymph nodes, or peritoneum. Colonic metastasis is rare, with only a few previous descriptions in the literature. We report a case of a 91-year-old woman with presumed pancreatic adenocarcinoma based on pathology and imaging, with colonic metastasis presenting as colonic obstruction.

Solitary adrenal metastasis from colorectal cancer is rare with reported incidence from 3.1% to 14.4% in the literature. Distant metastasis of a colon carcinoma in situ has not yet been reported. We experienced a case of a sigmoid colon carcinoma in situ with common hepatic lymph node metastasis. After the first operation, we diagnosed dual intramucosal adenocarcinomas of the sigmoid colon without any regional lymph node metastasis. After the second operation, a metastatic adenocarcinoma was found in the common hepatic lymph nodes. We suggest that metastasis in cases of a colonic carcinoma in situ is rare, but possible. The parallel progression model of tumors can explain this early metastasis.

Colonic carcinoma metastatic to the kidney is very rare. The usual anatomical localization for secondary renal neoplasms is the renal cortex. We report a case of sigmoid colon carcinoma with unilateral kidney metastasis localized only in the renal papillae without obvious metastatic disease.
