We reported a female case of painful thyroiditis occurring after hysterosalpingography and investigated whether the destructive thyroiditis was iodine-induced. Reported in this paper is the use of a carbon-lipoidal suspension for presurgical staining lymphography which was applied to carcinomata colli uteri and corporis uteri. The suspension could not be prepared until permission had been obtained from the National Drug Expert Committee. The 5-cm long endpiece of a soft Nelaton's catheter, ch 6-8, splinted with a rigid polyethylene cannula, proved to be a suitable instrument for intrauterine homologous inseminations.
