Lactic acid bacteria enhance intestinal immunoglobulin A (IgA) secretion; however, the underlying mechanisms are often strain specific. Skin biopsies from positive allergic patch tests were analysed by immunoenzymatic labelling of frozen sections with monoclonal antibodies.
