The nevus sebaceus of Jadassohn (SNJ) is a congenitally-occurring, hamartomatous disorder of the skin and its adnexa of infrequent occurrence. This presentation of five cases emphasizes the smooth, waxy, yellow-brown lesion's progression into a thickened sebaceous tumor of premalignant predilection. The incidence of neoplastic degeneration of these hamartomatous nevi may be as high as 30% with the capacity of metastasis occasionally reported. Sebaceous carcinoma arising from the nasal vestibule is exceedingly rare, with 3 cases previously reported. We have described the case of a 69-year-old man with an indolent exophytic growth on the medial aspect of his right nasal vestibule. Incisional biopsy demonstrated sebaceous carcinoma. The clinical and pathologic features, in addition to the surgical course and the postoperative outcome, are discussed. We also report our findings from a review of the reported data, focusing on the diagnosis and treatment of this rare skin malignancy.

CONTEXT: Because the skin and modified mucosal surfaces of the vulvar region contain dense apocrine glands and anogenital mammary-like glands, in addition to eccrine glands and folliculosebaceous units, benign as well as malignant lesions derived from these adnexal structures are, not surprisingly, found in the vulva. Bowen disease (BD) with divergent adnexal differentiation is a rare composite cutaneous tumor featuring different phenotypic elements. Breed predispositions to canine digital neoplasms are well known. However, there is currently no statistical analysis identifying the least affected breeds. To this end, 2912 canine amputated digits submitted from 2014-2019 to the Laboklin GmbH & Co. KG for routine diagnostics were statistically analyzed. PURPOSE: To provide a retrospective analysis of lesions of the caruncle which have been very rarely reported in the literature.
METHODS: A retrospective review of all the caruncular lesions between January 2000 and January 2020 was done at a single tertiary eye care hospital. The lesions were classified as benign and malignant lesions. Clinicopathological correlation was done for the excised lesions.
