We report herein a simple and efficient synthesis of a new series of antibacterial uridine nucleosides. The strategy involved a sequential silylation/N-glycosylation/N-propargylation procedure of uracil 1 for preparing the dipolarophile 5 in good yield. Patients with chronic hepatitis D often have liver-kidney microsomal antibodies type 3 (LKM-3). Advanced maternal age is a key factor in female infertility, primarily due to declines in ovarian reserve and oocyte quality. The oxidation of UDP-glucose by the enzyme UDP-glucose dehydrogenase (EC 1.1.1.22) from beef liver has been shown to proceed via the enzyme-bound intermediate, UDP-alpha-D-glyco-hexodialdose.
