Cloacal dysgenesis sequence is a rare congenital malformation seen in 1:50000 to 250000 neonates. It shows a phallus-like structure, smooth perineum, and absence of urethral, vaginal, and anal openings as primary malformations. We report a case of a 4-day-old preterm female neonate. Humeral shaft fractures constitute only 3% of fractures in children younger than age 16 years. They are most common in children younger than 3 and older than 12 years old. BACKGROUND: The natural history of uterine leiomyomas during pregnancy has been reported.
CASE: A 39-year-old primigravida presented with vaginal spotting in the 10th week of pregnancy. Ultrasonic evaluation revealed a large intramural leiomyoma. Unsuccessful tocolysis at 25 weeks' gestation resulted in a cesarean section for breech presentation. At hysterotomy a 10-cm intramural leiomyoma was found in the right fundus and was left in situ. Six months later, at open laparotomy for myomectomy, the 10-cm leiomyoma was pedunculated, on a 4-cm stalk.

AIM: The first twin (T1) in breech position is at risk of complications during vaginal delivery, making the choice of the appropriate delivery route highly important. Although British and American practice guidelines recommend the cesarean section, the French National College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists concluded that there was not enough data to choose one delivery route or the other. The effect of attending breech, twin, and post-date pregnancies on home birth outcomes was assessed. A retrospective analysis of the outcome of pregnancy in 62 women seen between 1971 and 1988, with a uterine malformation was carried out. Two unrelated children were born with severe congenital malformations: a girl now seven years old and a boy who died in the newborn period. Both had severe cervical hyperextension, severe flexion deformities of the limbs, and bilateral popliteal pterygia. Postmortem examination of the second case showed small, well-formed thoracic vertebrae with mild epidural fibrosis and hemorrhage. These births defects are rare and usually occur separately.
