Serum neurofilament light chain (sNfL) reflects neuro‑axonal injury, and is an emerging biomarker in multiple sclerosis (MS). This prospective cross-sectional study compared analytical agreement and clinical applicability among three analytical platforms. OBJECTIVE: The cell of origin of ovarian low-grade serous carcinoma (LGSC) remains unclarified. Our recent morphologic and immunophenotypic study suggests that most LGSCs may be derived from the fallopian tube. A technique is described to allow electron microscopic investigation of a specific feature of a section on a glass slide. A section on a glass slide (previously treated with a silicone release agent) is processed as required for light microscopy. We report two unusual cases of occult breast carcinoma in which extensive axillary node metastasis was the first manifestation. A microscopic lesion of intraductal carcinoma was found in the tissue of one resected breast and a small infiltrative ductal carcinoma, 0.8 cm in size, in the greatest dimension in the other. Ovarian lipoid cell tumors are very rare. We report two cases with abnormal menstruation, hirsutism, clitoromegaly and marked elevations of serum testosterone. Sonography revealed unilateral adnexal solid tumors. Flow velocity wave form study showed apparent flow within the tumor with the resistance index ranging from 0.42 to 0.49 in both cases. Twenty-six non-Hodgkin's malignant lymphomas (ML) of the Waldeyer's ring, the mouth and nasal cavities were studied morphologically and immunohistochemically on paraffin and frozen sections. A B-cell origin was shown in all 14 cases of Waldeyer's ring M.L., while 5 of 7 nasal and 3 of 5 buccal cases were of T-cell nature.
