Gallbladder is a common surgical pathology specimen. However, carcinomas of the gallbladder are relatively rare in most western countries. Hence, general surgical pathologists may not be that familiar and comfortable diagnosing these tumors. In this review, we discuss the morphological and immunohistochemical characteristics of gallbladder carcinomas, provide updates on tumor classification and staging of these tumors as per the most recent WHO classification, and focus on practical considerations that would be most relevant to diagnosis and clinical management of these tumors.

Biopsy involves the surgical removal of a tissue specimen for histopathologic evaluation. Most intraocular tumors are reliably diagnosed based on the clinical evaluation or with noninvasive diagnostic techniques. BACKGROUND: Resection of colon cancer with curative intent implies clear margins. An arbitrary requirement of 2 cm DtLM generally ensures surgical and pathological clearance. However, harvest of tumor-draining lymph nodes is related to DtLM. For this reason, an extended longitudinal margin becomes an issue. Anterior mediastinal tumours include primary and secondary tumours. Primary urethral carcinomas are unusual. The most frequent histology is the epidermoid carcinoma in both sex, followed by the urothelial carcinoma in men and adenocarcinoma in women. The diagnosis is often late. It is based on a clinical examination under anesthesia and biopsies. MRI is the best imaging modality for the local stadification.
