We report an unusual case of thymic Hodgkin's disease with cystic variants. The patient complained of nodules in his neck. Chest radiographs showed a mass with cystic lesions in the anterior mediastinum. Although Hodgkin's disease was suspected from pathologic examination of biopsy specimens of the neck nodules, the mediastinal and neck masses could not be precisely diagnosed until a median sternotomy was done. The surgically excised mediastinal masses revealed thymic Hodgkin's disease with cystic lesions. The patient has done well after chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Thymic Hodgkin's disease

We reported a rare case of multiple cavernous angioma accompanied with a convexity meningioma. A 41-year-old female developed generalized convulsion on October 8, 1985. Plain computed tomography (CT) scan revealed a round heterogeneous density mass in the right parietotemporal region, which was homogeneously enhanced. We report a case of a struma salpingis, a benign teratoma consisting entirely of thyroid tissue in the fallopian tube. This 0.2-cm tumor was an incidental finding in a 44-year-old, clinically euthyroid, woman. The ipsilateral ovary showed a 0.1-cm struma ovarii, and there was a 7.0-cm mucinous cystadenoma of the contralateral ovary. To our knowledge, this is the second report of struma salpingis and the first account of concurrent thyroid tissue in both the tube and ovary. Struma salpingis probably arises from germ cells arrested in their migratory path towards the genital crest.

MRI has transformed the diagnosis of cavernous hemangioma, a hamartoma that is most often located in the central nervous system. The appearance of this lesion is fairly characteristic with MRI. This technique has allowed distinguishing multiple forms. Encephalic sites are most frequent, with rare medullary sites, and double brain and cord locations are exceptional. We present a retrospective study on 610 patients with colorectal cancer diagnosed over a 10 year period; 21 patients (3.4%) had synchronous multiple primary carcinomas. Age and clinical symptoms were similar to those with single carcinomas. In 57% of patients, the presence of synchronous neoplasms was diagnosed preoperatively by colonoscopy and/or barium enema, in 38% peroperatively and in 5% postoperatively. A case of sphenoid ridge meningioma and pituitary adenoma adjacent in the brain is reported. A 70-year-old female was admitted to our hospital with headache. This report describes a mixed tumor of the left maxilla. The lesion showed rapid growth, 5 years after excision of a mixed tumor from the left side of the hard palate. The extent of the lesion indicates an aggressive tumor that requires close follow-up.

A 37-year-old man presented with hypertension and elevated urine catecholamine. Ultrasound scanning revealed a solid tumour of the right adrenal gland and two solid tumours in the retroperitoneum. The findings were confirmed with computed tomography and abdominal angiography. At surgery only the tumour of the right adrenal gland was removed. The histopathologic diagnosis was pheochromocytoma. A case of brown tumor on the hard palate associated with primary hyperparathyroidism is reported. The diagnosis was suggested by the oral findings and clinical history and confirmed by biochemical determinations. Excision of a parathyroid adenoma normalized the metabolic situation and at a one-year follow-up the palatal tumor had diminished in size and lamina dura was partially regenerated.
