With the continuing advancement in the treatment of childhood leukemia and the lengthened survival of these patients, an increased incidence of abdominal complications has been observed. A retrospective analysis of 364 patients with leukemia treated at the National Taiwan University Hospital from January 1977 through April 1988 was undertaken. We studied the cases of 353 patients with lymphoma involving the ocular adnexa diagnosed at the Massachusetts General Hospital between 1974 and 2005. The patients included 153 males and 200 females, aged 7 to 95 years, with a mean age of 64 years. In 277 cases, there was no known history of lymphoma. An 8-year-old boy presented with a widespread cutaneous eruption featuring macules, papules, nodules, and ulcers. The histologic infiltrate showed T lymphoblasts, but there was no sign of systemic involvement, so aleukemic leukemia cutis was diagnosed. Two months later, he developed leukemia in peripheral blood and bone marrow that was characterized as T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia.

BACKGROUND: We described the real-life epidemiology and causes of infections on the different therapy phases in patients undergoing chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cells directed towards CD19+ or BCMA+ cells.

The specificity of monoclonal antibodies (MoAbs) ICO in normal T and B cell differentiation has been described. The use of standard MoAbs CD19, CD5, CD7 was taken into account in modification of immunologic classification of lymphoblastic tumors. Analysis in 336 patients with ALL has been done to compare the use of E-rosettes, xenogeneic antisera and MoAbs in T-cell leukemia and lymphoma diagnosis. There are evident differences in the frequencies of some immunological subvariants of lymphoblastic leukemia as compared to lymphoma.
