Accurate localization of the placenta in the cavity of the uterus is indicated prior to transabdominal amniocentesis and in cases where hemorrhages occur during pregnancy. The combined interest of thermography and 99mTc Bleomycin scintigraphy in the differential diagnosis of a cold thyroid nodule was evaluated in 86 patients. In all cases a histological examination was performed. Of the 30 malignant nodules (clinically suspect and solitary nodules) 21 (70%) showed concentrations of 99mTc Bleomycin while only 7 of the 12 solitary malignant nodules did so. Among the 54 benign nodules the false positive rate was 54%. Thermography was positive in 26 (87%) of the 30 malignant nodules and in only 8 (67%) of the 12 solitary malignant nodules. The intraorganic connections between separate arteries of the pancreas were studied in 26 dogs by methods of radioindication and radioisotope scanning. The present paper reports on two cases of congenital malformation of the lungs, in young adults, treated surgically. Each case had particular clinical features: left pulmonary aplasia with residual thymus and herniation of the right lung in the left pleural cavity in one case, and left pulmonary hypoplasia with aberrant pulmonary circulation, secondary cystic bronchiectasia, serofibrinous pleurisy. The necessity of an early diagnosis and surgical treatment is emphasized.

The case of a 14-year-old boy with levocardia is reported herein. By scintiphotography, a normal spleen was identified in the right upper quadrant of the abdomen. As angiographic and electrocardiographic considerations rule out the transposition of the atria, the patient must be a very rare case of levocardia with an inverted spleen, which is not associated with transposition of the atria.
