STUDY DESIGN: Eighteen patients with hereditary sensory and autonomic neuropathy type IV whose ages ranged from 1 year 0 months to 22 years 3 months were examined for oral signs and symptoms of tooth abnormalities, malocclusions, soft tissue disorders, tongue papilla atrophy, and morphologic abnormalities of hands and fingers.

BACKGROUND: Intimate partner violence (IPV) is a pervasive public health problem, impacting the health and quality of life of survivors worldwide. The trauma of IPV is associated with a high incidence of mental illness, namely depressive and anxiety disorders, and posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
