BACKGROUND: Inverted papilloma is a benign sinonasal tumor that arises from a localized attachment site. These attachment sites, however, have not been fully characterized in the literature. The objective of this research was to determine the specific distribution of attachment sites in patients with sinonasal papilloma.
METHODS: Retrospective analysis of adult patients with sinonasal papilloma presenting to the University of Virginia between 1999 and 2010. These patients were reviewed and compared to historical controls with regard to histologic subtype and pedicle attachment site.

IgG4-related disease has evolved from originally being recognized as a form of pancreatitis to encompass diseases of numerous organs including the hypophysis and one reported case of dural involvement. BACKGROUND: Cardiac injury at the time of resternotomy is a complication faced by all cardiac surgeons, although little is known about its effects on morbidity and mortality. This study was designed to address these questions.

At the University of Virginia over the past 14 years, we have used galeal, temporalis fascial, and pericranial flaps to correct these defects in more than 150 patients.
