A 67-year-old woman had an epulis-like swelling of the gingiva in the region of teeth 32 and 33. On histopathologic examination, it became clear that it was a non-pigmented intramucosal naevus which rarely occurs in the oral cavity.

A 70-year-old white housewife presented with a rare presentation of coexistent generalized morphea and lichen sclerosus et atrophicus with unusual clinical aspects. Isolated leukonychia totalis is a rare condition of nails with mainly an autosomal dominant pattern of inheritance. In this report, we present three sibs (a sister and two brothers) with isolated congenital leukonychia totalis, without any manifestation among parents and other family members. The sibs had similar facial features and were offspring of consanguineous Egyptian parents. We discussed possible mechanisms of inheritance and suggested an autosomal recessive mode of transmission.

A lighter or whiter complexion is socially desirable in many cultures. This has led to an unregulated and highly profitable market in skin-lightening creams that are readily available over the counter or on the internet. Plant extracts and newer tyrosinase inhibitors such as kojic acid or its derivative kojic dipalmitate are popular ingredients in these creams. We report a patient who developed depigmented patches after using such a cream.

INTRODUCTION: Case report of congenital grouped albinotic spots.
OBSERVATION: A 24-year-old woman was referred for frontal headache related to +1.50 hypermetropia. Visual acuity was 20/20 in both eyes. During routine examination, fundus examination revealed multiple, irregular white spots involving the juxtapapillary and peripheral retina in both eyes. Color vision, visual fields, and electroretinographic findings were normal. Fluorescein angiograms showed hyperfluorescent spots; indocyanine green (ICG) showed hypofluorescence of these lesions.
CONCLUSION: These albinotic spots are uncommon

BACKGROUND: Hypomelanosis of Ito was first described by Ito in 1952 as incontinentia pigmenti achromians. The consistent feature of the disease is a characteristic cutaneous hypopigmentation area following the lines of Blaschko, but the clinical manifestations are varied and hypomelanosis of Ito is regarded as a neurocutaneous syndrome. Hypomelanosis of Ito is sporadic but is probably a non-specific expression of chromosomal mosaicism; we report a case with four clones.
