OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the outcomes of lengthening post-traumatic femoral segments using a recently available magnetic intramedullary (IM) lengthening system.
DESIGN: Retrospective cohort study.
SETTING: Urban level II Trauma Center.

We diagnosed 10 Galeazzi-equivalent injuries. We report the radiological and clinical results at the end of growth in adolescents, including the results of ulnar lengthening. This study included 10 Galeazzi-equivalent injuries (seven patients requiring open reduction and three requiring closed reduction for ulnar lesions) seen since 2004. The possible pathogenesis, differential diagnoses and its successful management are described. A 23-year- old right hand dominant male presented with a progressive wrist deformity of his right upper limb. At 11 years of age, he sustained an isolated open fracture of the right forearm. Limb-salvage after (sub-) total humerus resection in skeletally immature patients, aged less than 10 years, remains the domain of individual case decisions due to a small number of affected patients. Seven children aged ≤ 10 years at the time of (sub-) total bone sarcoma resection of the humerus between 2018 and 2023 were included in this retrospective study. Limb salvage with an intact motor function of the lower arm was achieved in 100% of cases at a mean follow-up of 89.8 months. AIMS: The purpose of this study was to report the long-term results of extendable endoprostheses of the humerus in children after the resection of a bone sarcoma.
METHODS: A total of 35 consecutive patients treated with extendable endoprosthetic replacement of the humerus in children were included. There were 17 boys and 18 girls in the series with a median age at the time of initial surgery of nine years (interquartile range (IQR) 7 to 11).
