Six subjects from three sibships with hyperornithinemia, homocitrullinuria, and hyperammonemia are described. Assays of liver biopsy in one showed decreased CPS I and leukocyte assays indicate a similar defect in all six. Loading studies with ornithine and citrulline are consistent with a block early in the urea cycle between ornithine and citrulline. They thus support the results of the enzymatic assays. BACKGROUND: We need screening for RA patients at high risk of RA-ILD to prevent the associated decrease in life quality and survival. The proposed screenings disagree regarding the anti-citrullinated protein antibodies (ACPA) because of their inconsistent association across recent studies. Therefore, we hypothesized that meta-analysis of the published reports should reveal clues explaining the heterogeneity of results, helping us progress in RA-ILD early detection.

Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a heterogeneous disease with unknown etiology. Here we aimed to distinguish RA subtypes based on peripheral blood (PB) gene expression profiles in comparison with a pathogen-response transcriptional program.
