Patients with multiple myeloma are usually treated with IV bisphosphonates soon after diagnosis. Bisphosphonate administration has been associated with bisphosphonate-associated osteonecrosis of the jaw (BONJ). OBJECTIVES: Osteochondromas are frequently found in the general skeleton, but are rare in the mandibular condyle. Radiographically, most reports describe osteochondromas as a mushroom-shaped bony enlargement capped with cartilage on the condylar surface. However, the radiographic appearance of this lesion on the panoramic radiograph has rarely been studied. The purpose of this article is to increase the radiographic knowledge of mandibular condylar osteochondroma and facilitate making an exact diagnosis through observing the lesional appearance on panoramic radiograph.

Verrucous carcinoma is a well-defined variant of the squamous cell carcinoma. Although it is reported to be rare in the Scandinavian countries, 16 cases have been diagnosed in the Southern part of Norway from 1975 to 1982. The nasolabial flap is a versatile instrument for intra-oral reconstruction. Eleven flaps were used in nine patients, six of whom had been previously irradiated. A homolateral neck dissection was performed at the same operation in six instances. Most patients had floor of mouth cancer with excisions involving exposure of the mandible. Diffuse interstitial pulmonary infiltration was first reported in 1969, occurring during intermittent methotrexate therapy and it is suggested that it represents an adverse reaction to this drug. Despite the severity of the clinical and radiological changes, the disease is usually self-limiting. An additional case is presented and the previous 28 reported cases of this syndrome are summarized. Since intermittent methotrexate therapy is becoming more widely used, the importance of recognizing this respiratory illness as a possible complicating reaction to the drug is stressed.

We present a case of a 41-year-old non-smoker male patient presenting with ameloblastoma which metastasized to the lung 14 years post excision of the primary mandibular tumor. A biopsy of the pulmonary mass was initially diagnosed as squamous cell carcinoma by a non-specialist pathologist who was not provided a history of the patient's prior ameloblastoma diagnosis. Free peroneal or its composite flap from the leg has been transferred in four patients for oro-mandibular and hypopharyngeal defects following surgery for malignancy.
