Experiments have established the high efficacy of combinations of the micronized dosage form of trichlorophen, with albendazole or medamine in treating trichocephaliasis (its causative agent being Trichocephalus muris) in DBA/2st mice and that of trichlorophen in combination with azinox or fenasal in outbred albino mice with hymenolepiasis (its causative agent being Hymenolepis nana). The main uterine effect of prolonged tamoxifen use is an increased incidence of proliferative abnormalities of the endometrium. These form an overlapping pathological spectrum ranging from simple hyperplasia to invasive malignancy, with hyperplastic endometrial polyps and polyp-cancers occupying the intermediate ground. The factors involved in the genesis of these lesions remain poorly understood but a combination of inherited factors and cumulative tamoxifen dosage may be important.

A field trial was carried out with a vaccine containing 300x10(9) killed S. typhi (strain Ty58) per tablet. A total of 12 564 children aged 1-15 years were given 3 tablets of the vaccine or a placebo at the rate of one tablet on each of 3 consecutive days. PURPOSE: Hand-foot syndrome (HFS) is a frequent dose-limiting adverse reaction of fluoropyrimidine drugs like capecitabine and 5-flourouracil (5-FU) in breast and gastrointestinal cancers. It has been shown that conventional application of Lawsonia inermis L. (Henna) is effective in ameliorating of the skin lesions.
