BACKGROUND: Cardiac myxomas are the most common benign primary tumour of the heart. Clinical presentation is variable and ranges from constitutional symptoms to clinical features due to intracardiac obstruction, such as mitral stenosis, coronary embolization, or systemic embolization. PURPOSE: To review the published literature assessing the efficacy of β-blockers for the treatment of periocular hemangioma in infants.
METHODS: Literature searches were conducted in May 2018 in PubMed with no date restrictions and limited to studies published in English and in the Cochrane Library database without any restrictions. The combined searches yielded 437 citations. Of these,16 articles were deemed appropriate for inclusion in this assessment and assigned a level of evidence rating by the panel methodologist.

BACKGROUND: Causalgia is not familiar to most physicians whose training and experience are limited to civilian practice.
HYPOTHESIS: Through a thorough review of the literature, we attempted to determine the boundaries of causalgia and separate it from other sympathetically related disorders.
DATA SOURCES: Database search for English-language articles in MEDLINE and Index Medicus up to the year 2000 as both keyword and subject under causalgia.
STUDY SELECTION: References that described any new cases referred to as "causalgia" by their authors were included in a meta-analysis.
