PURPOSE: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the anatomical and functional outcomes of surgical intervention in severely traumatized eyes with no light perception (NLP).
METHODS: In this prospective interventional case series, 18 eyes of 18 patients with severe ocular trauma whose vision was documented as NLP and with relative afferent pupillary defect of 3 to 4+ underwent deep vitrectomy and other appropriate procedures 1 to 3 times.

PURPOSE: To report a case of retinoblastoma in a child with oculocutaneous albinism (OCA).
METHODS: A 24-month-old girl with classic features of OCA developed leukocoria in the left eye.
RESULTS: The patient was found to have an endophytic retinoblastoma and an exophytic retinoblastoma, with a total retinal detachment and neovascularization of the iris. Enucle-ation was performed, and histopathology confirmed massive retinoblastoma with optic nerve involvement to the posterior margin of the lamina cribrosa but no choroidal invasion.

A 34-month-old girl was treated for anterior uveitis, a superiorly subluxated cataract, rubeosis iridis and secondary glaucoma of the right eye of 3 months duration. She was diagnosed as having medulloepithelioma only after a mass was subsequently identified on the anterior surface of the iris. A low grade malignant nonteratoid medulloepithelioma was found to involve the ciliary surface throughout the circumference of the enucleated right globe. These tumors are generally associated with a good prognosis for survival, but are potentially lethal when they extend extrasclerally.

The authors report five cases of uveal tumors managed with internal eye wall resection and evaluate the long-term results. Patient age varied from 31 to 61 years. Four patients were female and one was male. Uveal tumors involved ciliary body and choroid in three patients and choroid alone in the other two. The effect of different types of burns and numbers of lesions on, and the role of initial pressure head in, the rate of aqueous outflow was studied in enucleated human and porcine eyes.
