We experienced a case of primary malignant mixed müllerian tumors (MMMTs) of the fallopian tube of FIGO stage I. In addition to endometrioid adenocarcinomas, multiple apparent heterologous elements encompassing myxoid chondrosarcoma, osteosarcoma, myxoid liposarcoma, and well-differentiated angiosarcoma were recognized separately in each nodule. Those findings that divergent sarcomatoid differentiations are apparently present masquerading malignant mesenchymoma have not been described in MMMTs of the female genital tract.

A unilateral twin tubal pregnancy occurring in a solitary fallopian tube is presented. The gynecological history was notable for a previous extrauterine pregnancy in the contralateral fallopian tube and reconstructive surgery to the ipsilateral one. A woman of 88 years old with primary carcinoma of the fallopian tube, the oldest patient reported in the English literature according to the best of our knowledge, was presented. After debulking surgery four courses of chemotherapy including paclitaxel and carboplatin was performed. The patient was free of disease during two years follow-up.

Inguinal hernias were diagnosed at 42 and 38 weeks' postconceptional age in 2 premature girls. The hernial sac contained the uterus, one Fallopian tube, and one ovary. The diagnosis was made by physical and sonographic examination and was confirmed during surgical correction. We suggest sonography in the diagnostic workup in (premature) female infants with an inguinal hernia.

BACKGROUND: Acute abdominal pain in female patients is a common condition often involving a gynaecological examination in order to establish an aetiological diagnosis.
MATERIAL: The case of a 14-year-old girl with acute abdominal pain caused by isolated torsion of the right tube is presented. The literature is reviewed according to the discussion on whether an undiseased tube can undergo torsion. Thirty-two patients with adenocarcinoma of the fallopian tube, treated between 1975 and 1990, were studied. Thirteen patients had stage I disease, 9 stage II, and 10 stage III. All patients underwent bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy, total abdominal hysterectomy, and subcolic omentectomy. All patients received postoperative primary whole abdominal external beam radiotherapy.
