BACKGROUND: Many rectovaginal fistulas(RVF), especially low RVF, do not involve/penetrate the RV-septum, but due to lack of proper nomenclature, such fistulas are also managed like RVF (undertaking repair of RV-septum) and inadvertently lead to the formation of a high RVF (involving RV-septum) in many cases. Therefore, REctovaginal Fistulas, Not Involving the Rectovaginal Septum, should be Treated like Anal fistulas(RENISTA) to prevent any risk of injury to the RV septum. Multiple superficial veins in different anatomical configurations exist in the elbow. The resulting variety of elbow arteriovenous fistulae (AVFs) is described in this paper. Arteriovenous fistulas (AVF)--a rare inborn disease of respiratory system. During 32 yrs 19 observations of pulmonary AVF were made. There were 13 (68.4%) men and 6 (31.6%) women. PURPOSE OF REVIEW: Urethrovaginal fistulae are a rare condition. It is a conceptual mistake to consider urethrovaginal fistulae to be synonymous with vesicovaginal fistulae. Urethrovaginal fistulae are a different entity requiring special attention and treatment. Due to the wide variety and individuality of the clinical manifestations of these injuries, it is practically impossible to find and create common guidelines for treatment. They are usually diagnosed by coronary arteriography. Clinical presentations are variable depending on the type of fistula, shunt volume, site of the shunt, and presence of other cardiac conditions.
