INTRODUCTION: The addition of imatinib to the therapeutic arsenal for chronic myeloid leukaemia (CML) has changed the natural course of the disease, in such a way that it is now considered a chronic pathology. Patients with adenomatous polyposis, usually defined as patients with >10 adenomatous polyps in the colorectum, are at increased risk for colorectal cancer (CRC). FINDINGS AND DIAGNOSIS: Further hematologic examination lead to diagnosis of myeloid and lymphoid neoplasia with eosinophilia (MLN-EO) with FIPL1L1-PDGFRA fusion gene. An echocardiographic examination revealed a thrombus in the right ventricle.
