Solitary fibrous tumors (SFTs), initially observed in the pleura, were later found to develop in almost any extrapleural site. Dedifferentiation within SFTs was characterized only recently. We report a case of dedifferentiated SFT arising within the pelvis of a 70-year-old Japanese woman. Macroscopically, the resected tumor measured 17 × 17 × 13 cm. Penetrating abdominal injuries are uncommon in the pediatric age group and are associated with a high mortality. A seven year old girl suffered penetrating injury to perineum when she fell onto the trident (trishula - traditional three pronged spear) implanted alongside Lord Shiva's idol. The rod caused perforations of the transverse mesocolon, ileum at 3 places, right lobe of liver, diaphragm, parietal pleura, and exited from 7th intercostal space. Surgical repair of each damaged site was undertaken. Despite delayed presentation, the child survived following surgery.

A 75-year-old woman presented with a presumed urothelial carcinoma of the right renal pelvis. A radical nephroureterectomy was carried out and histological analysis of the specimen revealed lymphoepithelioma-like carcinoma. In April 1962, Vittorio Micheli, a soldier in the Italian Army, developed rapidly increasing pain in his left buttock region. X-rays of the left hip showed osteolysis involving the ilium and the roof of the acetabulum. A biopsy of the gluteal muscle showed cells of a sarcomatous character. He was not deemed to be a candidate for medical intervention, so neither radiotherapy nor chemotherapy was offered to him. AIM: We aimed to determine spinopelvic balance in 8-19-year-old-people in order to assess pelvic and spinal parameters in sagittal view.
METHODS: Ninety-eight healthy students aged 8-19 years, who lived in the central parts of Tehran, were assessed. Demographic data, history of present and past diseases, height (cm), and weight (kg) were collected. Each subject was examined by an orthopedic surgeon and spinal radiographs in lateral view were obtained. Eight spinopelvic parameters were measured by 2 orthopedic spine surgeons.

We present a case of mucinous cystadenocarcinoma of the renal pelvis associated with a collecting duct carcinoma in a 58-year-old woman with diabetes. Even though several theories about the aetiology of mucinous cystadenocarcinoma of the renal pelvis have been proposed, its origin remains unknown. The present case shows a distinct morphology and immunohistochemical profile that may suggest a clue to its histogenesis.

Sarcoma of the kidney is a rare condition. Leiomyosarcoma is the most common of the kidney sarcomas. Renal leiomyosarcoma usually originates from the smooth muscle layers of the kidney, for example, the renal capsule and renal vessels.
