PURPOSE: The aim of this study was to investigate the sensitization, pharmacokinetics, and absorption of FK506 after corneal transplantation.
METHODS: New Zealand albino rabbits were divided into normal and corneal transplantation groups. Each group was divided into 5 subgroups--saline, blank matrix, high-dose, medium-dose, and low-dose, respectively. There were 10 rabbits in each subgroup. This is a case study of a 27-year-old woman suffering from severe dyspareunia because of a severely retroverted and retroflexed uterus. The pain was affecting her quality of life and marriage. Laparoscopic uterine suspension with the UPLIFT procedure was performed leading to resolution of pain with intercourse. The patient subsequently became pregnant and delivered vaginally. Postpartum physical examination revealed a well-suspended uterus still in an anteverted, anteflexed position.
