AIM: To investigate the changes of IL-8 and TNF-α in gingival crevicular fluid (GCF) before and after treatment from chronic periodontitis.
METHODS: 96 patients with chronic periodontitis were selected as study group and experienced initial periodontal therapy. 50 healthy people were selected as control group. OBJECTIVE: The purpose of this study was to determine if cesarean delivery is a risk factor for respiratory distress syndrome (RDS) and if this risk is modified by labor before cesarean.
STUDY DESIGN: This population-based case-control study compared 4778 cases of RDS to 5 times as many controls.
