We develop a specific derivatization gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) method for cyanide using 1,2,3,3-tetramethyl-3H-indium iodide as the derivatization reagent. The derivative compounds were synthesized and characterized using 1H nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), 13C NMR, and Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy. The high selectivity of this derivatization for cyanide is supported by calculations and activation energy comparisons. This work reports the measurement of impedance variations under various humidity conditions at frequency ranges between 100 Hz and 5 MHz. An electrochemical polymerization process has been used in the synthesis including varying the mass ratios of graphene oxide (GO) in polyaniline. BACKGROUND: This case study details a rare orbital metastasis originating from the gastrointestinal tract. A patient presented with proptosis of the right eye precipitated by a slow-growing orbital tumor. A biopsy confirmed a low-grade neuroendocrine tumor. Imaging studies were completed, with magnetic resonance (MR) imaging of the orbits providing the most detailed images of the mass. We present a detailed AFM study on multilayered dry lipid films prepared from aqueous vesicle suspensions. Different preparation techniques were applied in order to optimize the preparation of homogeneous lipid films of various film thicknesses. Suspensions of preformed DOPC/DPPC vesicles were adsorbed onto indium tin oxide-coated glass coverslips, a substrate also commonly employed for the formation of giant liposomes.
