Symptoms in the urinary tract are most common, and cystoscopy, and cystography are the most valuable diagnostic procedures. It may not always be possible to demonstrate the fistula by diagnostic tests, and a high index of suspicion should be maintained in patients with inflammatory or neoplastic disease of the rectosigmoid area or bladder with recurrent cystitis. Tubular adenoma of the urinary bladder is an exceptionally rare intestinal-type glandular neoplasm that may mimic urothelial malignancy. Placement of foreign bodies within the urethra has intrigued urologists for years. We present the case of a 30-year-old man who had self-inserted 6 kidney beans into his urethra for sexual pleasure. We report a rare case of recurrent florid cystitis cystica et glandularis (CCEG), common type, causing obstruction of the left ureterovesicle junction (UVJ) leading to renal colic and hydronephrosis. A 43-year-old man was admitted with renal colic, left UVJ obstruction, left hydronephrosis and azotemia. Cystoscopy showed a >4-cm bladder lesion compressing the left UVJ. Transurethral resection of the bladder tumour (TURBT) was performed and pathology revealed the lesion as CCEG. Two months later, the CCEG recurred and caused left UVJ obstruction a second time, requiring TURBT.

A 25-year-old woman at 36 weeks of gestation was admitted with a two-week history of gross hematuria and clot retention. Blood hemoglobin concentration was 6.3 g/dl. A polypoid lesion was found near the bladder neck during cystoscopy in a woman with urinary incontinence who had undergone periurethral collagen (Contigen) injections 3 years before. She had previously received radiation therapy in addition to a radical vulvectomy for vaginal cancer. Ureterovaginal fistula is an uncommon complication of pelvic operations. We report 31 such cases seen over an 18-year period, all of which followed surgery for benign gynaecological conditions.
