PURPOSE: To present a case of twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome (TTTS), followed by discussion of the etiology, pathophysiology, prenatal diagnosis, management, complications, prognosis, and family considerations.
METHODS: A literature review was conducted using MEDLINE, PubMed, CINAHL, ProQuest, and Google Scholar. The search resulted in 593 articles; 25 relevant articles were chosen.

PURPOSE: To compare the results of intraocular pressure (IOP) reduction by 3 treatment modalities, (a) glaucoma tube implants, (b) noncontact YAG laser cyclophotocoagulation (cycloYAG), and (c) contact transscleral diode laser cyclophotocoagulation (cyclodiode), in cases of advanced glaucoma refractory to alternative treatments.
METHODS: A consecutive group of 45 eyes that received cycloYAG were matched against two control groups of patients who had received tube surgery or cyclodiode, each control group having been derived from a database of patients.

Cutis marmorata telangiectatica congenita is a well-characterized cutaneous vascular disorder with variable and rare ocular involvement. The results of complex treatment of 113 patients with different forms of erysipelas were analyzed. In 73 (64.6%) of them argon plasma using "Argon scalpel SP-CPT" in therapeutic regimen was applied as daily local exposure. PURPOSE: To report formation of corneal iron ring deposits after conductive keratoplasty.
DESIGN: Observational case report.
METHODS: Case report.
RESULTS: A 54-year-old woman underwent conductive keratoplasty for hyperopia. One year after conductive keratoplasty, iron ring pattern pigmentation was detected at the corneal epithelium of both eyes.

BACKGROUND: Diode laser cyclophotocoagulation is widely accepted as the therapy of choice in severe glaucoma cases. It is especially performed after failure of other kinds of treatment. We wanted to know whether it is also suitable as a primary surgical procedure after failure of medical treatment.
PATIENTS AND METHODS: We retrospectively evaluated the charts of patients scheduled for cyclophotocoagulation as a primary surgical treatment between February 1997 and May 1998. Usually 15 burns (2000 mW, 2.5 s) were applied per treatment session. The mean age was 75.5 +/- 7.4 years (range: 63-86).
