A 31-year-old primigravida presented with obstructive shock and respiratory failure five days following a normal spontaneous vaginal delivery. A rare case of esophageal schwannoma compressing the trachea in pregnancy is presented. A 29-year-old pregnant woman was hospitalized due to severe dyspnea. We aim to show the relation between a novel clinical finding, the pulmonary delayed inflation (PDI) sign, and the etiology of bulla and bleb formation in young patients.

The azygos lobe is a well-known and well-described anatomical variation of the right lung. Primary lung cancer arising from an azygos lobe, however, is exceedingly rare. Only a handful of cases have been previously reported in the literature. We report the first case with operative demonstration of a primary adenocarcinoma arising from an azygos lobe, which was treated with robot-assisted azygos lobectomy.

35 patients, operated on the thoracic trauma (ISS - 9±3), had videothoracoscopy on the reason of the continued bleeding (n=6), clotted hemothorax (n=27) or pleura empyem (n=2).
