Investigations were conducted in late June to early June 2013. The population density of mollusks of the genus Juga in the shoreline and littoral covered by meadow waters was 10 to 30 specimens/m2; there were solitary specimens of the genus Parafossarulus. Fourteen out of 39 fish species were invaded by metacercariae of Clonorchis. Manchurian spiny loaches (Leptobotia) and Light's bitterling (Rhodeus lighti) are first registered to be hosts of Clonorchis. OBJECTIVE: Patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA)-related autoantibodies have an increased mortality rate. Different autoantibodies are frequently co-occurring and it is unclear which autoantibodies associate with increased mortality. In addition, association with different causes of death is thus far unexplored. Both questions were addressed in three early RA populations.

We use fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT) to accelerate the restoration of florfenicol-perturbed intestinal microbiota in koi carp, identifying key bacterial populations and metabolites involved in the recovery process through microbiome and metabolome analyses. The opisthorchiasis epidemiological situation in Ukraine and the Sumy Region that has the largest natural focus of invasion has been analyzed. Its morbidity rate is 21.6 per 100,000 population, which is more than 20 times greater than that in Ukraine. The clinical course of the disease in the endemic focus, the attribute of which is the high percentage of its latent form, has been examined. Praziquantel is the most effective drug for the etiotropic therapy of opisthorchiasis.

A detailed description of the fine structure of Balantidium ctenopharyngodoni Chen, 1955 with an emphasis on its vestibulum is given in the present paper. As to the vestibular kinetids, special attention is paid to the characters of T1, T2 microtubules and nematodesmata. Serving as the major skeleton to the vestibular cortex, the T1, T2 and Pc microtubules are described herein and their support function is also discussed. Moreover, the well-developed nematodesmata of the vestibular kinetids that form a large basket-like complex are described in detail.

Fura-2 fluorescent calcium imaging was used for analyzing the subtype of AMPA receptors in freshly dissociated horizontal cells of carp retina. Patients with 9q34.3 terminal deletion usually show a clinically recognizable phenotype characterized by specific facial features (microcephaly, flat face, arched eyebrows, hypertelorism, short nose, anteverted nostrils, carp mouth and protruding tongue) in combination with severe mental retardation, hypotonia, and other anomalies.
