PURPOSE: To describe fundus autofluorescence (FAF) characteristics associated with choroidal osteomas and their secondary complications.
METHODS: Retrospective descriptive case series of six eyes of five patients with choroidal osteomas. Findings of FAF correlated with visual acuity, clinical features, lesion characteristics, and findings from other imaging modalities.

The anterior choroidal artery (AChA) originates from the posterior wall of the internal carotid distal to the posterior communicating artery and proximal to the intracerebral carotid bifurcation. This thin artery is rarely the cause of aneurysm and only accounts for 2-5% of all aneurysms. Even though the AChA territory shows large variations among individuals, it supplies crucial motor and sensory structures, such as the internal capsule, optic tract, the posterior limb of the internal capsule, the cerebral peduncle, and the choroid plexus.

PURPOSE: We present a case series of four patients with unilateral, nonprogressive, yellow or white choroidal lesions of unknown etiology.
METHODS: Four healthy patients were referred to an academic medical retina practice for unusual fundus findings in one eye only. This report describes a case of orbital B-cell lymphoma of extranodal marginal cell type with atypical clinical and radiographic features. This patient presented with choroidal effusion and optic disk swelling of the right eye. A CT scan revealed an intraconal mass surrounding the optic nerve and indenting the globe. Choroidal osteoma is a rare, yellowish-white lesion of the choroid that predominantly affects young women in the second decade of life. Subretinal neovascularization or collection of subretinal fluid may occur in 50 % or more patients in the long run. A 15-year-old girl presented to our practice with bilateral choroidal osteoma associated with advanced bilateral optic atrophy. The underlying cause for optic atrophy is unclear; possible explanations include mechanical pressure effect and ischemic damage.

A 55-year-old man who had multiple subretinal and choroidal yellowish lesions and episcleral nodules for 1.5 years was diagnosed as having nodular sclerochoroidopathy after developing classic features of posterior scleritis with choroidal and serous retinal detachment. Long-term therapy with steroids in combination with mycophenolate mofetil resulted in regressed posterior scleritis and nodular lesions, as well as improved visual acuity. Nodular sclerochoroidopathy should be suspected in patients with subretinal and choroidal lesions and should be distinguished from choroidal neoplasm.

Ocular melanoma has a strong tendency to metastasize often several years after its initial diagnosis was made. We report on the case of a 50-year-old woman who was treated 20 years earlier for an ocular melanoma and currently seen regularly in our institute for liver metastases that were treated by chemotherapy. After three treatments, a check-up with computed tomography demonstrated the presence of a right ovarian mass. METHODS: Nine eyes of nine patients with tuberculous granuloma of the choroid were studied using OCT scans.
