We report the case of a 34-year-old woman who was diagnosed with pemphigus vulgaris (PV) during pregnancy. The patient presented with widespread blistering dermatitis and associated burning and pruritus. At 6 weeks' gestation the patient was admitted to the hospital to expedite her diagnosis and initiate treatment. A skin biopsy revealed suprabasal acantholysis, and direct immunofluorescence demonstrated diffuse intercellular IgG in the epidermis and basal intercellular C3, which confirmed the diagnosis of PV. Marine sediment cores sampled in three different areas, during the 1997/98 Italian Antarctic Expedition, were studied. The cores (40 cm) were immediately subdivided into 13 or 14 layers (2-4 cm) in order to obtain a high-depth resolution in the metal content and humic substance analyses. BACKGROUND: Timely referral to subspecialty care remains critical for expedited work up and treatment of HPV+ oropharyngeal carcinoma (OPSCC). It is not known if there have been changes in time to diagnosis as the incidence of this disease rises.
METHODS: Retrospective cohort study of 312 patients treated for HPV+ OPSCC at a tertiary referral clinic between 2013 and 2022.

Computational prediction of intrinsic disorder in protein sequences is an impactful and growing research area, recently infused with deep learning and protein language models, prompting the need to assess the impact of these advancements.
