The activity and content of CYP1A1, CYP1A2, CYP2B1 and CYP2B in the liver, lung and kidney of Wistar rats treated with hexachlorobenzene (HCB), Aroclor 1254 (AR), methylcholanthrene (MC) and phenobarbital (PB) were studied. The authors submit the results of echographic investigation of 42 children aged from 4 to 15 years old with juvenile rheumatoid arthritis (JRA). All the patients were distributed into three groups. A protein reactive with anti-phenylalanine hydroxylase monoclonal antibody PH8 has been recovered from human platelet extracts. Two bands corresponding to molecular masses of about 60 kDa and 55 kDa were revealed by immunoblotting after electrophoresis according to Laemmli. Using the same antibody, a single band with a molecular mass of 60 kDa was demonstrated in extracts from human pineal gland; two similar antigens were found in human liver extracts and no antigen was found in adrenal gland extracts. Monoclonal antibodies, PH1 and PH3, did not react with these antigens during immunoblotting.

The effects of calmodulin and chlorpromazine on purified phospholipase A2 preparations from snake venoms: cobra (Naja naja oxiana), echis (Ehis multisquamatus) and Agkistrodon halys halys, as well as on phospholipases A2 from rat liver mitochondria and human platelets were studied.
