Segmental vitiligo often presents in childhood and tends to be more recalcitrant to therapy than generalized vitiligo. Recently, Janus kinase inhibitors have emerged as a promising treatment option, with some reports suggesting that concomitant ultraviolet light exposure may enhance therapeutic response.
