Pulmonary infection with cavitation causes severe respiratory symptoms if the cavity has a communication with main bronchus, through which fluid flows out into trachea. In this report a young male with lung cancer invading an adjacent pre-existent fungus cavitary lesion is presented. Cancer invasion led to broncho-cavitary communication and caused massive intrabronchial aspiration. Subsequently, the cancer destroyed the thoracic wall, and a cavitary-cutaneous fistula developed which relieved symptoms as if treated with open drainage.

We start with a detailed analysis of the communication issues in today's symmetric multiprocessor (SMP) architectures to study the benefits of implementing optical interconnects (OI) in these machines. We show that the transmission of block addresses is the most critical communication bottleneck of future large SMPs owing to the need to preserve the coherence of data duplicated in caches. We examined the effects of group communication treatment on linguistic and communicative performance in adults with chronic aphasia. The purpose of this study was to bring basic information about the work of a multiprofessional group involved with the laryngectomees rehabilitation and vocal rehabilitation. Those patients take part in the GARPO-Laryngectomees. The authors describe the different possibilities of vocal rehabilitation for the patients and the framework of the activities and steps of the process. We studied reference to HIV in personal ads from 1986 to 1993 to assess knowledge of HIV serostatus as a criterion for selecting sex partners. Personals increased exponentially during 1986 to 1993. Men seeking men (MSM) were more likely (8%) to mention HIV than persons seeking other situations (0% to 1.6%). The proportion of personals mentioning HIV increased from 0.5% to 2.9% globally and from 1.9% to 12.2% for MSM (chi-square tests for trend; p < .001). The results of this study indicate participation of the adrenergic vegetative neural terminals (VNT) in the stroma formation due to indirect influence on the vascular structures. The involvement of the immunocompetent cells in these processes is not denied. Moreover, the determining role of VNT of the adrenergic part in the development of dysplasia can be suggested. The peculiar direction of the stroma formation in fibroadenoma and "autonomization" of this process from VNT and immunocompetent cells influence is revealed.

Dystonia and particularly spasmodic torticollis are neuromuscular disorders that are extremely resistant to most therapies (physical, medical, or surgical). Torticollis is a unilateral spasm of the neck muscles, particularly of the sternocleidomastoid, that produces violent, tonic turning of the head to one side. The etiology remains uncertain, although the role of psychogenic factors has been emphasized.
