Surgical repair of urethral strictures complicated by multiple scrotal/perineal urethrocutaneous fistulae (watering-can perineum) can be very problematic. The perineal/scrotal skin is either not available or is riddled with infection, fibrosis or granulomata and therefore unsuitable as a graft source. The presence of infection makes free grafts from other sites unlikely to survive. Furthermore, extensive fibrosis may prevent excision and re-anastomosis as well as internal urethrotomy. To report the long-term follow-up and visual outcome after excision of a traumatic iris cyst. A 4-year-old female presented with an iris cyst in her left eye 2 years after corneal laceration repair. Hypoxia can occur after repair of transposition of great arteries. The most common cause of right to left shunt after arterial switch surgery is related to increased right ventricular pressures and persistent neonatal pulmonary arterial hypertension. We report a case of TGA repair causing right to left shunt with normal right ventricular pressures. Persistence of Eustachian valve with patent foramen ovale (PFO) is the unusual cause of hypoxia and desaturation. The patient was successfully managed by excision of Eustachian valve and closure of PFO.

The cellular level analysis of 720 clinically persons with cytogenetic abnormalities has been performed in this study. Of them 25% showed an increased number of cells with cytogenetic abnormalities. Repeated examination of these patients allowed to "eliminate" sporadic cases of genome instability from the given group. The remaining, 30% of cases, had reliable decrease in excision repair and significant changes in immunoreactivity. At the same time a decrease of activity of DNA-repair synthesis was noticed in donors with a higher number of cells with cytogenetic aberrations.

Eighteen patients with acute dislocation of the patella had associated osteochondral fractures. This fracture complicates approximately 5% of all acute dislocations of the patella occurring in children. Three types of fracture patterns were noted. All patients who were treated by immediate arthrotomy and excision or replacement of the osteochondral fragment and repair of the acute dislocation of the patella made an uneventful recovery with no recurrence of the dislocation. In those patients in whom the osteochondral fragment was removed but with no repair the dislocation recurred.

Mitral repair operations for correction of pure mitral regurgitation (MR) are generally quite successful. Occasionally, however, the reparative procedure incompletely corrects the MR or the MR recurs. A rare case of male urethral diverticulum presents in this article. A 34-year-old man was referred to our clinic because of post-void dribbling. The retrograde cystogram and cystoscopy confirmed a 3 cm urethral diverticulum in the penile urethra without having urethra stricture. Open surgical repair was scheduled to excise urethral diverticulum and restore urethral continuity. Corpus spongiosum and dartus fascia was used to reinforce the repair.
