Intra-oral haemangiomas can lead to intra-operative bleeding while being excised conventionally with a scalpel. Therefore excision with CO2-Laser using coagulating effects and vaporisation of soft-tissues has been introduced. 52 intra-oral haemangiomas were excised minimal invasively and without relapse. With CO2-Laser no complications were seen postoperatively but the healing period was prolonged.

Eighty-five cases of post laser in situ keratomileusis ectasia were reviewed and analyzed. Cases of keratoconus or forme fruste keratoconus were eliminated; many remaining case reports lacked key information. The current literature is unable to define a specific residual corneal thickness or a range of preoperative corneal thickness that would put an eye at risk for developing ectasia. PURPOSE: To report the 3-month results of our first cases of laser in situ keratomileusis (LASIK) with Alcon's CustomCornea.
METHODS: Wavefront analysis was performed using the LADARWave aberrometer and ablation was performed with the LADARVision4000 system. Thirty-one eyes of 17 patients were analyzed prospectively, at 1 and 3 months after CustomCornea surgery. Psychophysical tests were performed, including high and low contrast acuity, and contrast sensitivity under scotopic and photopic conditions. In addition, psychometric testing was performed using a subjective vision questionnaire.

PURPOSE: To report major complications associated with laser in situ keratomileusis (LASIK).
METHODS: Twenty-four eyes of 23 patients who underwent LASIK in different centers in Saudi Arabia were included. There were 9 women and 14 men. The age range was from 20 to 65 years. The effectiveness of neodymium laser therapy was presented in the treatment of urogenital condyloma acuminata in 55 patients (51 men and 4 women). The patients were followed up 14 days, 4 weeks, 3 months and 6 months after the laser treatment. The main localization of condyloma acuminata was foreskin and glans penis. INTRODUCTION: During the past 7 years, holmium laser prostatectomy has evolved into an enucleation procedure, incorporating the use of established surgical planes. Holmium laser enucleation of the prostate (HoLEP) uses the excellent incisional and hemostatic properties of the holmium laser wavelength. We describe 2 patients who presented with asymmetrical media changes and a spontaneous Pulfrich phenomenon. In the first case, the phenomenon was due to cataract formation and an interocular latency difference of 1.49 ms +/-0.07 (SD) was found. After cataract surgery, the symptoms resolved and no interocular latency difference could be measured.
