OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the efficacy of nasal endoscopic-assisted surgery for adults cleft palate repair.
METHOD: We designed and made two suitable nasal mucoperiosteal flaps in nasal cavities, then released the nasal mucoperiosteal flaps to the level of hard palate and sewed up two flaps on the midline of oral cavity to repair the nasal side of cleft palate.

The purpose of this study was to document the progression and pattern of endosteal bone formation in a porcine mandibular distraction wound. Bone formation was assessed in a 0-day latency model (n=24 pigs) using distraction rates of 1, 2, or 4 mm/day to create a 12-mm gap. We present a prospective study of the results of periosteal stripping and division in 10 achondroplastic children. A single limb (femur and tibia) was operated on and the change in actual length of each bone and the percentage change in growth compared to that of the non-operated limb was measured by scanogram. A technique for transnasal correction of unilateral and bilateral congenital atresia in both infants and older children has been used repeadedly with no difficulty encountered in creating an adequate passage in patients with either unilateral or bilateral atresia. In no instances was there any deviation from the intended path of the boring tool causing injury to the palatine vessels, roof of the nasopharynx, or posterior pharyngeal wall.
