This is a case report of lichen planus (LP) with multiple system involvement. A 35-year-old female patient was admitted in November 2014 with a 5-year history of painful/difficult sexual intercourse and loss of oral mucosa, and an 8-year history of focal hair loss. Earlier, the patient had been unable to adhere to corticosteroid therapy because of severe adverse side effects. Posterior urethral valve and foreign body are among the important causes of male urethral obstruction. Although one is congenital and the other is acquired, both entities are rare in children with only a few reported cases. Because of myriad of symptoms associated with both conditions, a conclusive diagnosis requires both physical examination and radiological imaging. We report a first of its kind association of posterior urethral valve with foreign body in the posterior urethra in a 6-year-old male child which was eventually managed by endoscopic intervention.

Of 73 clinical strains of Haemophilus influenzae isolated from the urethra of men with urogenital infections, we enrolled 6 strains (8.2%) with levofloxacin (LVFX) minimum inhibitory concentrations (MICs) of ≥0.03 μg/ml in this study.
