PURPOSE: To report the efficacy and complications of diode laser cyclophotocoagulation (cyclodiode) in the management of refractory pediatric glaucomas.
DESIGN: Noncomparative interventional case series.

PURPOSE: To evaluate tilt and decentration after primary and secondary implantation of transsclerally sutured posterior chamber intraocular lenses (PC IOLs).
SETTING: Dokuz Eylül University Medical School, Department of Ophthalmology, Izmir, Turkey.

We describe the use of unfrozen tissue lenses in 42 cases of epikeratophakia in children aged 2-14 years. Fourteen operations were performed in an aphakic eye, 28 in combination with congenital or traumatic cataract extraction. The tissue lenses, made from unfrozen donor cornea according to an original design, healed in 91.5% of cases. The tissue lens was removed when epithelial growth was inadequate on its surface. PURPOSE: To compare the surgical and postoperative complications and visual outcome of extracapsular cataract extraction (ECCE) with and without intraocular lens (IOL) implant in Fuchs heterochromic cyclitis.
METHODS: The records of 77 patients with Fuchs heterochromic cyclitis who had undergone ECCE were reviewed. Of a total of 77 eyes, a posterior chamber IOL (PC IOL) was implanted in 43 eyes, whereas 34 eyes did not receive an implant.

Stereoacuity levels regained after uniocular lens implantation for unilateral cataract are related to the final visual acuity of the operated eye. They compare unfavorably with levels reported in normal populations and are unrelated to the period of monocularity and the residual optical defects of the operated eyes. PURPOSE: To compare outcomes of eyes that did or did not develop an epiretinal membrane (ERM) after repair of primary pseudophakic or aphakic rhegmatogenous retinal detachment by pars plana vitrectomy alone.
METHODS: Interventional, prospective, consecutive case series.
