A 12-year-old boy presented with recurrent abdominal pain for more than 5 months and a perianal mass for 10 days. Gastrointestinal endoscopy revealed multiple ulcers in the terminal ileum and colon, and Crohn's disease was diagnosed based on histopathology. The patient had atopic dermatitis and had previously received upadacitinib; after the diagnosis of Crohn's disease, upadacitinib was continued. In this work, we introduce the cyclen-based metal chelator DOTThia comprising four methylthiazole arms for metal complexation. Together with the recently described congener DOTI-Me bearing four methylimidazole arms, the radiochemistry of these two compounds with 212Pb, 213Bi, and 225Ac was investigated thoroughly. Various heterocycles containing phosphorus and nitrogen are easily synthesized from readily available H-phosphinate building blocks.
