A 37-year-old man with a benign variant of scleroderma (CRST syndrome: calcinosis circumscripta, Raynaud's phenomenon, sclerodactyly, and telangiectasia) presented with recurrent ventricular tachycardia. This is a clinical study of the results of endolymphatic sac shunt surgery for Meniere's disease in 28 patients. Postoperative audiometric results and clinical evaluation of vertigo and tinnitus were analyzed to determine the effectiveness of this form of treatment. Although this is a small study and the time interval since operation is of only moderate duration (6 to 46 months), the results are encouraging: 79% of the patients showed improvement or stabilization of hearing as well as control of vertigo.

BACKGROUND: Anterior cutaneous nerve entrapment syndrome (ACNES) is an underdiagnosed and undertreated chronic abdominal pain condition.
CASE REPORT: An 18-year-old man with ACNES reported 4 years of diffuse, constant abdominal pain and cramping that severely impacted his quality of life. Prior interventions of ultrasound-guided abdominal trigger point injections and transversus abdominis plane blocks only provided minimal pain relief. At our clinic, he received bilateral ultrasound-guided T9-T11 intercostal cryoneurolysis and reported complete pain relief for 5 months.
