BACKGROUND: The purpose of this phase I trial is to evaluate the safety and toxicity of laparoscopic hyperthermic intraperitoneal perfusion with chemotherapy (HIPEC), combining mitomycin, cisplatin, and paclitaxel for patients with gastric cancer metastatic to the peritoneum.
