The authors study the correlation existing between prolactin and E-17-beta in breast cancer. In both premenopausal and post-menopausal patients prolactin may be useful as an evolutive marker. Prolactin increases particularly as a consequence of the metastatic growth. E-17-beta shows no variation when studied during the luteal phase, diminishes after the extirpation of the primitive tumor, and augments again with metastases development. The influence of experimental thiamine deficiency in rats on enzyme-histochemical parameters was carried out in the diencephalon. The degree of thiamine deficiency was measured by the activity coefficient of transketolase in the red blood cells. The alpha-ETK of thiamine deficient animals was 1,45 +/- 0,36, of equal-fed animals 1,04 +/- 0.04 and of control animals 1,08 +/- 0,04. We got the following results: Lactatdehydrogenase, acid phosphatases and thiamine pyrophosphatase did not indicate any difference in enzyme activity between the groups of control, equal-fed and thiamine deficient rats.

This paper studied the arachnoid of the chiasmatic cistern (CC) and the methods for increasing the exposure of the CC from an endoscopic perspective. Eight anatomical specimens with vascular injection were used for endoscopic endonasal dissection. We report a case of right optic neuritis caused by Rathke's cleft cyst (RCC) in a young adult. A 15-year-old boy presented with reduced visual acuity in the right eye. Histological and ultrastructural changes of hypophyseal gonadotropic cells of rats which received a 15% solution of ethyl alcohol for 6 months were studied. The effects of endogenous hyperprolactinaemia (HPRL), as induced by pituitary homografts under the kidney capsule, on core temperature (Tc) was investigated in rats before and after the application of restraint stress.
