Myh6-Cre transgenic mouse line was known to express Cre recombinase only in the heart. Nevertheless, during breeding Myh6-Cre to Rosa26fstdTom reporter (tdTom) mouse line, we observed that a significant part of their F2 tdTom/+ offspring had tdTom reporter gene universally activated. A 3-year-old Libyan boy with the XXXXY syndrome is described. MRI examination of the brain showed hypoplasia of the corpus callosum. He had growth retardation and endocrine studies demonstrated growth hormone (GH) deficiency. Dermatoglyphic pattern was different from previous reports. At histological examination of the undescended testes, Leydig cells were seen although they are usually not found in this variant of the Klinefelter syndrome.

A 5 10/12 year-old boy with a 47,XYY karyotype, micropenis, scrotal hypospadias and right testicular regression is described. Normal for age basal plasma testosterone levels which increased after hCG stimulation were interpreted as an adequate response of the left testicular Leydig cells. The review of similar cases did not permit definite conclusions concerning the relationship between the abnormal genitalia and the XYY karyotype.
