In two cases of typical small-cell bronchial carcinoma (one of them peripheral, small and clinically not diagnosed) destructive parenchylmal metastases in the pancreas, carcinomatous lymphoangiosis and infiltration of the larger excretory ducts by tumour cells were demonstrated. Extrapulmonary small cell carcinoma (EPSCC) is a rare cancer with a poor prognosis. It can arise from almost any site and is usually associated with extensive metastasis at the time of diagnosis. Due to the rarity of this cancer, very limited data is available in the literature and most of the recommendations for its evaluation and treatment are based on retrospective studies and expert opinion. This case report shares one such presentation of EPSCC. A 78-year-old male was admitted to the hospital with presenting symptoms of abdominal pain and discoloration of the eyes and urine for 2 months.

We herein report a 75-year-old Japanese man with small-cell lung carcinoma who developed dermatomyositis after the administration of atezolizumab. He developed rashes on day 13 and myalgia and motor weakness on day 30 of the first administration of atezolizumab. BACKGROUND: Lambert-Eaton myasthenic syndrome is well known to be a classical paraneoplastic syndrome of small cell lung carcinoma (SCLC). Three cases of seronegative myasthenia gravis (MG) and SCLC were previously reported.
CASE REPORT: A 65-year-old man developed a severe progressive respiratory failure with clinical features of MG. Tests showed a decremental response in the repetitive nerve stimulation test, abnormal single-fiber electromyography, and positive acetylcholine receptor antibody. Meningeal carcinomatosis is a diffuse infiltration of leptomeninges and sub arachnoid space by malignant cells metastasizing from systemic cancer. Primary bronchogenic carcinoma presenting as carcinomatous meningitis is a very rare occurrence in clinical practice, often occurring during the treatment course of the underlying malignancy. Small bowel metastases from a primary lung carcinoma are rare. We report a case of a 59-year-old male with a primary small-cell lung carcinoma who developed anaemia and bowel symptoms. On colonoscopic examination he was found to have a tumour in the caecum near the ileocaecal valve, which was biopsied, revealing small neuroendocrine tumour cells.
